Simon’s Top Tips for New Drivers in Carlow
- If you’re a beginner driver that’s uneasy behind the wheel, you’d benefit from a beginner lesson. This lesson is aimed at putting you at ease in the drivers seat and addressing any fears or misgivings you might have before taking to the road for your first EDT lesson. It’s a big confidence booster for many new drivers, young and old, and lays a good groundwork for your EDT lessons.
- Even if you have an automatic car, it’s a good idea to still prepare for and test on a manual transmission car. Testing on an automatic car will limit your licence, whereas if you test and pass in a manual car you’ll be free to drive both manual and automatic transmissions going forward. I offer car hire in Carlow for driving tests.
- If, after your 12 EDT lessons, you feel that you could still use some help preparing for the driver test, think about scheduling a pre-test lesson. This lesson is specifically designed to put your driving skills to the test much like they will be during your Irish driver test. It’s a good prep tool and refresher of everything you’ve learned so far.
