General Information on Gorey and Wexford Town driving test centres;

 Gorey Test Center is located at Thomas Street, a side street off Main Street. Parking is reserved for test applicants only and is on-street. Remember to always park in a location that’s easy to leave from & facing out before your test, Leinster School Of Motoring will advise you of the best parking spots to pick.

Toilet facilities are not provided in the test centre but there are many local cafes and bars near-by. Seating is provided outside this room from where you will be called for by the driving tester.

The main things to watch out for in Gorey are

(1) The main street, which has many pedestrians wandering out.

(2) The junction between North Parade / The Avenue and the Main Street.

(3) The junction at Ballymoney cross.

(4) The junction between Esmonde Street and Main Street

All of these issues are covered and explained by our driving instructors so that you are fully prepared before you take your driving tester around the test routes.

Wexford Town Center is currently located at Killeens (Beside Jeffares Osteopathic Clinic),Wexford, Co Wexford. This driving test centre has been modernised recently for the purposed of driving tests. Parking is available in the carpark and is reserved for driving test candidates use only. Always park facing out before your test in what you consider to be the easiest space to leave from. When you have completed your test and are on your way back to the centre, again aim for the easiest spot and drive directly into that space ensuring you are between the lines marking that space. Leinster School Of Motoring will advise you on this routine to ensure a smooth departure and arrival at the driving test centre.

Inside the centre there are modern clean toilet facilities and a seated waiting area, from this room you will be called by the driving tester.

The main things to watch out for in Wexford are.

(1) Where possible stay a safe distance from parked cars when overtaking.

(2) Make sure you know how to use roundabouts as there will be many during the course of your driving test.

(3) Reverse around corners are sometimes located on busy roads so you will need to be competent.

(4) Speed limit changes occur very often around Wexford town, you will need to know before hand of all their locations.
